Visiting Scholar Yugo Murawaki

Yugo Murawaki is an associate professor at the Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University, currently serving as a visiting researcher. His work bridges natural language processing (NLP) and language evolution. After learning Bayesian generative modeling in NLP, he began applying it to problems in language evolution. He is also interested in how computational methods can support closer collaboration with historical and field linguists, including the semi-automation of repetitive expert tasks. Yugo Murawaki will continue his research at our department until February 2027.
