All our courses in the core areas of American Studies are part of the teacher training programs in English and of the interdisciplinary Bachelor- and Master-Programs in International Cultural and Business Studies, North and Latin American Studies, Language and Text Sciences, Semiotics of Text and Culture, Historical Cultural Studies.
Our scholarly work in American Studies has a decidedly interdisciplinary range and focuses on Native American Studies, theories of cultural encounters, cultural memory, Visual Culture Studies, American political culture as well as the teaching of American materials in English as a Foreign Language (EFL).
