Lectures from across the spectrum of practical philosophy await participants of the 12th Conference on Practical Philosophy, taking place on September 25 & 26, 2025. The keynote lectures will be delivered by Stefan Gosepath and Franziska Dübgen.
Stefan Gosepath, Professor of Practical Philosophy at Freie Universität Berlin, will open the conference with a talk on the injustice of inheritance laws and practices. Franziska Dübgen, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Münster, will give the closing lecture on vulnerability and resistance among refugees.
Between the keynotes, additional talks will be held in various areas of practical philosophy, including social philosophy, general and applied ethics, philosophy of law, political philosophy and theory, action theory, and related disciplines.

With over 200 speakers, the Conference on Practical Philosophy is one of the largest philosophy conferences in the German-speaking world. Since 2024, it has been hosted at the University of Passau, in cooperation with TU Berlin and the Academy for Political Education Tutzing.
