Welcome to EFL education
EFL education is concerned with the teaching and learning of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in schools.
EFL research deals with processes of teaching and learning the English language, literature and cultures. Detailed information on the research projects can be found under Research.
EFL education is an essential component for students of all teaching professions. In the EFL study programme, prospective English teachers are familiarised with fundamental and current theories, models and topics of FL learning and teaching. In addition, practical teaching competences are discussed and analysed in the various courses on a scientific basis. Further information is offered under Teaching and Studies.
Internships and Schools
As an applied science, EFL education links theory and practice (and vice versa). Within the various internships, students acquire skills for reflective lesson planning and analysis. Further information is provided under Internships.
