The subject of our courses are the literatures, cultures and media of France and the Francophonie. The main focus is on the period from the 19th to the 21st century.
The research focus of the professorship lies in the areas of intermediality (especially comics and graphic novels), spatial theories, trans/interculturality, identity/ageing, diaspora, migration and Romani Studies. In terms of literary history, the research focus is on Franco-Romance studies in the 20th and 21st centuries, and on Hispanic studies in the early modern period.
