So that you don't miss anything, we have created a general event for the O-Week on Stud.IP (No. 0423235). Please register there as soon as you have received your ZIM IDs. You can find out how to register there under Good to know for the semesters´ beginning.
You can register separately for the individual O-Week events from October 5 after the welcome event and onwards.

We’re excited to show you the university from the inside—live and in color. So don’t wait—take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to be guided around campus by veterans of the Faculty of Humanities and Cultural Studies. You’ll find useful tips and fun facts about campus life.
The campus tours take place Monday through Friday during Orientation Week. We’ll meet at the small parade ground by the fountain (Kleiner Exerzierplatz). Times will be posted in the Stud.IP event (Stud.IP 051026b).

The Passau University Library (Universitätsbibliothek Passau) invites you to an informational event on Thursday, October 8, at 11:00 a.m. in HS 10 (Audimax). Please note that the meeting will be held in German. If you require an introduction to the University Library in English, the library staff will be happy to help you.

ZIM (Centre for Information Technology and Media Services) offers online information sessions in Englisch for all international first-semester students. Here you’ll learn important information about the University of Passau’s technical infrastructure, such as Stud.IP, eduroam Wi-Fi, etc.
These will take place on October 2, and October 9, at 11 a.m. each day.

The Language Center (Sprachenzentrum) at the University of Passau offers numerous courses in a wide variety of languages—completely free of charge. This means that, regardless of whether language courses are required for your studies or not, you have the unique opportunity to learn as many languages as you’d like.
For more information, the Language Center is holding a general information session on Wednesday, October 7, at 10 a.m. in HS 10 (Audimax). There, you’ll receive information on the languages, the courses, and the placement tests (C-tests), among other things.
To help you figure out which languages are right for you, the Language Center is also offering 30-minute trial classes on Wednesday, October 7, between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. During these sessions, you’ll also have the chance to meet the various instructors, all of whom are native speakers.
