The study of Romance languages and cultures focuses on the linguistic situation in Romance-speaking countries: Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland in Europe and countries extending from Argentina to Canada in the Americas and from Morocco to Mauritius in Africa.
