For academic references and recommendation letters, please submit a general inquiry during office hours or via email at least four weeks before the deadline.
The student being evaluated should have successfully completed at least one course with the instructor writing the reference.
If you have only completed a basic course ("Introduction to English and American Literary Studies" or "Introduction to Cultural Studies: Britain and the US"), we cannot provide a recommendation letter, as we cannot personally know all students due to the size of these courses.
Please inform the instructor when you need the reference and where it should be sent. After confirmation from the instructor, please submit the following documents (during office hours, at the department office, or via email):
To ensure that credits earned abroad can be recognized at the University of Passau, please agree on Individual Learning Agreements for the selected courses before your departure.
For this purpose, please send:

Prof. Dr. Lucia Krämer will inform you whether the course can be credited towards your degree at the University of Passau.
