Former Members

Tim Sommer was Lecturer in English Literature and Culture at the University of Passau from 2022 to 2024. He previously worked as a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Heidelberg, where he also obtained his PhD. In 2024, he joined the University of Munich (LMU) as Lecturer at the Department of English and American Studies, where he also serves as Head of the Shakespeare Research Library.

During his time at the Chair of English Literature and Culture, Tim Sommer worked on his Habilitation ("The Rise of the Anglophone Literary Archive: Institutions, Authorship, and Fiction in the Long Twentieth Century”); Passau awarded him the venia legendi in October 2025.
